Five days after welcoming a darling baby boy, Kate Hudson and fiance Matt Bellamy have revealed the name of their new arrival.
"So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham 'Bing' Hawn Bellamy. Born 7Ib 12Oz, on 9th July," the Muse rocker twittered on July 14. "Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!"
And those speculating where the unique name came from didn't have to wait long. Bellamy revealed their inspiration for baby Bing's moniker a few hours later. (And, no, it's not after Friends character Chandler Bing or the Internet search engine!)
"For those wondering, Bingham is my mum's maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt's dad," he wrote. "Family connections all round!"
Bing is the first child for Bellamy, 33, and the second for Hudson, 32. His older brother, 7-year-old Ryder, is Kate's son with her ex-husband Chris Robinson.
