It looks like Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman and her Black Swan choreographer fiancé Benjamin Millepied have revealed the name of their new baby son, who was born in June -- and somehow we all missed it!
According to a report in the Israel Hayom newsletter, the Israeli TV show Good Evening with Guy Pines reported on June 15 that Portman, 30, and Millepied, 34, have named their baby Aleph. Aleph (which can also be spelled Alef) is a powerfully symbolic Jewish name: It's the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and it represents the "oneness of God" and the element of air.
Aleph certainly would be a fitting choice for Portman, who has dual American-Israeli citizenship and was born in Jerusalem with the given name Natalie Hershlag.
Portman and Millepied met on the set of Black Swan, with Millepied acting as the film's choreographer, as well as Natalie's on-screen dance partner. As it turns out, the two were also partnering up off-screen: On Dec. 27, 2011, Portman's rep confirmed that Natalie and Ben were enaged and expecting a child together -- and Portman's tell-tale baby bump made its debut during the 2011 awards season.
