The downside of being a gorgeous, full-lipped star like Megan Fox is that at some point the media is going to accuse you of having Botox, plastic surgery or (in the case of Kim Kardashian) butt implants. Well, Fox has had enough of those pesky Botox rumors. On Thursday, the erstwhile Transformers starlet, 25, took to her Facebook page to uploaded a series of four photos of herself to an album titled: "THINGS YOU CAN'T DO WITH YOUR FACE WHEN YOU HAVE BOTOX." The pics show Fox furrowing her brow, smiling and doing other funny things you, um, can't do with your face when you have Botox."
Celebrity watchers like Perez Hilton have commented in the past that Fox appears to have a frozen face. Last year, after the Teen Choice Awards, Hilton wrote: "Honestly, her face looked SO perfect that it kind of creeped us out... You're hot, Foxy! Leave your face alone please." The Botox rumors flared up anew this week, when Fox appeared looking almost too perfect in a Giorgio Armani beauty ad. Hopefully those Facebook photos will silence Fox's critics -- at least for a while.
For her part, Fox has always denied that she's had Botox. "My lips are my lips," she told Allure magazine in June 2010, going on to deliver words of advice to anyone who might be considering plastic surgery. "I would encourage anyone to first speak with a therapist, to try and figure out where this want comes from, because a lot of times it's not related to your teeth or your nose or your chin. The surgery is not going to alleviate that insecurity for you." She added: "If, then, you feel, 'This is something that I want to do,' then do it. It's amazing that we have the technology to do the stuff that we do."
Fox isn't the first actress to use Facebook to dispel plastic surgery rumors. In August 2010, Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher, 45, posted pictures of herself on Facebook, showing her wrinkled brow and lip lines in untouched photos taken after she'd emerged from the shower. "Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what 'they' say," she wrote. "Decided I'd shoot myself in to reveal some truths about 'beauty' and hope it makes you all easier on yourself."
