Is Kristen Stewart trading in vampire romance for superhero love?
The rumor mill has been working overtime, spinning out stories that The Twilight Saga sensation was offered the coveted role of Lois Lane in the new Superman movie. Sources said she politely declined because she wasn't interested in being involved in another blockbuster franchise. Instead, the insiders said Stewart professed an interest in "smaller, independent films."
But a rep for Stewart says all of this talk about the actress passing on the Man of Steel flick (which will star Henry Cavill), is simply not true.
"There are a number of fabricated stories circulating," the rep told People.com. "The fact is that she has not met on this film nor has she been approached for this film."
She is, however, still in the running to play fairytale princess Snow White, in the new flick Snow White and the Huntsman. She will next be seen in On the Road and, of course, the first installment of Breaking Dawn.
