Nogueira hopes to answer the critics in his comeback fight

It seems like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira went from contender to card filler overnight. That really hasn't been the case, but for many there's a lot of doubt over what the PRIDE fighting legend has left in the tank.

"Big Nog" is only 35 years old, but he's battled injuries over the last three years and gone just 1-2. Now he's facing one of the UFC's young lions in Brendan Schaub. It's been a long battle against knee and hip injuries.

"Besides my physical and technical performance, I have the will to do anything. See four months ago, I couldn't walk. I recovered for several months to take this challenge to fight at UFC Rio," said Nogueira.

Nogueira said his rapid return was made possible by his high level training partners like Junior dos Santos, Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, Rafael Cavalcante and Antonio "Big Foot" Silva.

Damon Martin from MMAWeekly and ProMMARadio's Larry Pepe joined Cagewriter to break down Big Nog's chances against Schaub.

Scott Coker: Talks With Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champ Dan Henderson Ongoing

Dan HendersonAs if Scott Coker didn't have enough championship belts already in flux, Dan Henderson's last win on his Strikeforce deal just added to Coker's list.

Henderson beat Fedor Emelianenko last month to finish off his Strikeforce contract, making him a free agent. The UFC has expressed interest in bringing Henderson back into the mix, and Henderson has expressed interest in returning to the promotion.

But Coker said Tuesday nothing has been figured out yet, and that if Henderson did return to the UFC, vacating his light heavyweight title, he was not yet sure how that belt would be filled - but that the winner of a fight between Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and Roger Gracie, on Sept. 10, could position himself to be in the picture.

"There are ongoing discussions with Hendo, and it hasn't been determined yet," Coker said during a Strikeforce media call.

"I like to watch the fight and stir the pot after," Coker said. "Let's see who wins and how they win. We also have some other fights coming up in the 205 weight class - Mike Kyle will be fighting again shortly, and Gegard Mousasi will be probably be fighting before the end of the year. When the time is right, we'll let everybody know."

Lawal has not fought since he lost the light heavyweight title to Rafael Cavalcante a year ago, his first career defeat. Gracie is 4-0 with four submission victories, but has fought just twice the last three years.

No decisions yet on vacant heavyweight title
When heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem was given the boot from Strikeforce earlier this summer, many assumed the easiest solution to fill the suddenly vacant belt would be to hand it over to the winner of the ongoing heavyweight tournament.

But that won't be the case, Coker said. The CEO said there are no plans for the tournament winner to automatically assume the role of Strikeforce heavyweight champion, and that the promotion was "in discussions" to figure out what will happen.

Coker reiterated that he expects the finals of the heavyweight tournament to take place sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

In other news from Coker on Tuesday's call:

Cormier always in the heavyweight tournament mix
Daniel Cormier was inserted quickly into the heavyweight tournament when Alistair Overeem was cut from the promotion, and Coker said that was no coincidence.

"He was always considered the top alternate," Coker said. "Cormier was the first person under consideration. He had a great performance against a seasoned veteran like (Jeff) Monson. That fight, he looked like a kickboxer. He showed he had the ability to take it to the next level. We just felt he was the right guy. Anyone who has Olympic-level wrestling is going to give people in this tournament a tough time."

Cormier stepped in for Overeem and will face Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in one semifinal bout. The winner of that fight will face the Josh Barnett-Sergei Kharitonov winner.

"Cyborg" Santos should fight again by year's end
Coker said Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos has officially re-signed with the promotion. Santos reportedly signed a new deal with Strikeforce last week after more than a year on the sidelines.

Santos (10-1, 4-0 Strikeforce) has not competed since a June 2010 knockout win over Jan Finney to retain her Strikeforce 145-pound title. Coker said no opponent has been set for Santos' return, but he expects she will fight before the end of 2011.

Audrina Patridge, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert Share Prom Memories

'Me and my gay best friend just danced until 8 a.m.,' Ke$ha tells MTV News.

It's prom season, and that means high schoolers across this great land will be renting tuxes, buying fancy dresses and negotiating the details of their curfews with parents. So, before you take your pictures and get in your limos, we asked some Hollywood A-listers to recall their fondest prom memories.

"I had a great prom," Ne-Yo told MTV News. "I didn't get to go with who I wanted to go with. I got my second choice, but my second choice turned out to be the one I was supposed to be there with, so it turned out good."

Ke$ha, never one to say no to a party, had the best night of all her friends. "I went to prom with my gay best friend, and let me tell you, I had way more fun than anybody else at a prom with their boyfriends," she recalled. "Everybody else was, like, crying and drama and breaking up, and me and my gay best friend just danced until 8 a.m."

"Hellcats" star Aly Michalka doesn't have a favorite prom memory — because she never went to prom. "I was homeschooled, so I don't even think we had a fake prom," she lamented. "Like, maybe we had a home-school prom and I wasn't invited?"

While everything always seems to be in peril on "The Vampire Diaries," star Nina Dobrev had a less tumultuous night: "Having everyone get together and such a final celebration [is what I remember]."

Romeo went big for his prom. "My senior prom, I remember I pulled up in my red Ferrari. I was feeling like James Bond," he said. "And it was one of the best nights of my life."

"My favorite prom memory was probably going shopping for a dress, and our boyfriends at the time dressed up as 'Dumb & Dumber,' " Audrina Patridge laughed. "And so we were like, 'We can't dress up dorky ... we have to look good.' "

Roots drummer ?uestlove made a big decision on the night of his prom: "June 2, 1989, was my very last haircut; prom haircut, totally butchered my hair. He butchered my hair, and I vowed never again to ever get in a barber chair, so I grew that Afro on my prom night."

Adam Lambert said his prom date was a 10, so he definitely had a fun night. "I had a great prom. I had an awesome time," he said. "I went with one of my best friends in high school. Her name was Lauren, and she was really hot. She wore a really hot red dress, so I felt like I had arm candy."

Share your prom memories in the comments below!

Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, More Spotted Backstage At The VMAs

We watched as all the stars at the VMAs met and hung out backstage on Sunday night.

Britney Spears and Lady Gaga share a kiss backstage at the VMAs

There were many, many standout moments that VMA viewers witnessed from the comfort of their living rooms (Beyonc#233;'s belly! Gaga/Jo macking on Britney!). But for every big moment on air, there was plenty of other crazy stuff that went down backstage, where there were no cameras rolling. But your trusty MTV News correspondents had access all over the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and here's what we gathered from behind the scenes of the main show.

» Jo Calderone on the move! We witnessed Gaga in character, dressed in a navy suit, black hair slicked back, cigarette behind her ear, serious look on her face as she headed up to the stage!

» After Gaga's performance, her dancers left the stage, and seemed super psyched about everything. As they were leaving, the Pitbull dancers were walking on. Everyone high-fived.

» Jonah Hill and the "Jersey Shore" kids shared their mutual love for one another. "I watch your show," Hill told the cast.

» JWoww to Jared Leto: "Wow. I'm a huge fan! 'The Kill' is my favorite!" Leto: "Thank you so much!" Snooki, once they had passed the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman: "Aah?" To which Jenni replied, "That was Jared Leto. Don't you know who Jared Leto is?!"

» We spotted Tony Bennett chilling in his room with a cart with two bottles of wine sitting outside. And in other catering news: We saw Britney Spears get a delivery of cookies, and guitarist Brian May got wine.

» Brian May's and Lady Gaga's dressing rooms were next to one another. Next to that? Katy Perry. Not a meat cooler in sight!

» Speaking of dressing rooms, Britney was seen all smiles as she walked back and forth between dressing rooms with just one guy and a stylist.

» Kanye West strolled through, wearing lots of denim, and singing "Super Bass."

» Adele was walking briskly from one place to another when one of her handlers whispered the Beyoncé news to her. "I knew she would be!" Adele exclaimed.

» Gaga lit a cigarette for Adele. Naughty ladies!

» Beyoncé's mom got lots of congrats from people on her way out following B's big announcement at the show.

Creative director Laurieann Gibson takes MTV News behind Gaga's 'performance art.'

When Lady Gaga showed up at the 2011 Video Music Awards, she wasn't Lady Gaga anymore; she was Jo Calderone.

Gaga's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, spoke to MTV News days before the show went live, and she explained why Gaga wanted to stay in character all night long.

"The idea of her being a performance artist -- and it's starting the performance on the red carpet and the idea that the performance never ends for her -- is the first time I've experienced this with an artist," she said. "I love it. That's something that is specific to her, and the whole night was the performance, and it was important that Jo was a part of the whole night."

Gaga -- or, rather, Calderone -- opened the show with a lengthy monologue before launching into Gaga's "Yoü and I." Jo then hung out with Kanye West in the audience, paid tribute to Britney Spears and even shared a kiss with the pop star. Not once did Gaga break character. In Gibson's eyes, this type of performance is groundbreaking.

"I hope that the Monsters and the music industry [connect to] the idea that as long as you execute to the highest level of your ability, that you make a statement, that you push your creative ability to the max, and it doesn't mean one thing or another," she said.

"It could mean standing under one spotlight, it could mean tons of camels and belly-dancing girls. I don't know one is not necessarily better than the other," she continued. "But it is about who's the artist; it belongs to the artist, so in that one moment you have to take it and give all you can. And so I hope people take the fearlessness away [and] the creative notion that we constantly push boundaries, that we're not followers."

Is Blake Lively & Leonardo DiCaprio's Romance Getting Serious?

Is Blake Lively & Leonardo DiCaprio's Romance Getting Serious?

Leonardo DiCaprio was on the other side of the world during Blake Lively's 24th birthday party -- but that doesn't mean things have cooled down between the couple! While Leo couldn't celebrate Lively's big day, he did show his commitment at another family function: Blake's dad's birthday!

Us Weekly reports that DiCaprio, 36, joined Lively and her father Ernie at the Hollywood restaurant Madeo earlier this month. While they celebrated, Leo presented Ernie with a fancy comic book. According to a witness, "Blake's father loved it."

Lively and DiCaprio have been together since May, when they were photographed snuggling at the Cannes Film Festival and then vacationing in Italy. DiCaprio recently came out of a long, on-again-off-again relationship with model Bar Refaeli -- but at least one of their friends seems to think he's more committed this time.

"I bet they get engaged in the next six months!" the anonymous pal tells Us, adding that the actors are "so smitten it's crazy."

So if things are that serious, why wasn't Leo celebrating Blake's birthday with her other friends at her favorite New York City restaurant, The Darby? He actually had a really good excuse: He just began filming The Great Gatsby with Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher and Tobey Maguire in Australia.

We're guessing he'll find a way to make it up to her!

'Fright Night' Star Christopher Mintz-Plasse 'Gets' Vampire Appeal

'It was cool to play something evil and dark,' actor tells MTV News.
By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

The vampires in "Fright Night" might not sparkle in the sunlight, but star Christopher Mintz-Plasse still understands their appeal.

"Now I get it, why people play vampires," he told MTV News during Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week. "I'm like, there've been vampire movies. [But] that was really a lot of fun to do."

The crux of the issue, director Craig Gillespie explained, is that vampires are sexy. He made the argument that there are always vampire movies, but their popularity surges in waves. In the '80s, there was "The Lost Boys," in the '90s there was "Interview With the Vampire" and now it's "The Twilight Saga" keeping the vampire craze afloat.

The key was finding a good vampire to sit at the flick's center, and Gillespie said he always knew lead Colin Farrell would be good for the part. Farrell's character, Jerry, is dark but also has a humorous aspect, and Gillespie was impressed with Farrell's ability to walk that line. He knew it wouldn't be a hard sell either because Hollywood celebrities tend to be drawn to vampire films.

"It's one of those things that actors love to do, because you're getting to play sort of an iconic kind of character that has all this history with them. You get to have a lot of fun with it," Gillespie explained.

Mintz-Plasse certainly did. His character, Ed, gets (spoiler alert!) converted to a vampire in the movie, and Mintz-Plasse was psyched to whip out his inner bloodsucker.

"It was cool to play something evil and dark," he said.

Check out everything we've got on "Fright Night."

Henderson jumps back into title mix with win over Miller

Jim Miller needed a resounding victory to finally get his shot at the UFC lightweight title. Ben Henderson wasn't interested in being a stepping stone.

The former WEC 155-pound champ wanted back into the mix too, so he battered and bloodied Miller on his way to a unanimous decision victory, 30-27, 29-28 and 30-26 on the scorecards, at UFC on Versus 5 in Milwaukee, Wis.

Miller, who entered the fight riding a seven-fight win streak, was a minus-160 favorite. Henderson (14-2, 2-0 UFC) was fighting for respect. He'll get a lot more than just respect with this performance. He dominated a guy who's only previous losses came against Gray Maynard and Frank Edgar, the No. 1 and 2 lightweights in world.

The lightweight division is easily the deepest in mixed martial arts and new contenders keep emerging because no one can hold on to the No. 1 contender spot.

While UFC champ Edgar and Maynard have been sidelined with injuries since their January fight at UFC 125, there's been numerous chances for folks to step up and grab the next title shot. Almost everyone has failed in their big spot. George Sotiropoulos and Anthony Pettis both fell short earlier this year and Miller (20-3, 9-2 UFC) was the latest.

Miller's gameplan backfired against Henderson. The
WEC 155-pound champ has a reputation for allowing himself to get into bad submission predicaments, but "Smooth" has always been able to escape from those dangerous situations. Miller seemed to assume that Henderson wouldn't do so against him, so he tried submission after submission in the opening eight minutes of the fight. But in doing so, he left himself open to get beat on. With both hands working for subs, there's nothing to protect you from knees, elbows and punches. Henderson took advantage and blasted away.

By the end of the second round, Miller was bleeding like a stuck pig. In the final minute of the fight, with blood stinging his eyes and wincing in pain, Miller could barely open his eyes.

According to FightMetric, over the final two rounds Henderson outlanded Miller 91-16 . Henderson was also 7-for-7 on his takedown attempts. The numbers said Miller officially attempted six submissions, it looked more like 10.

Captain America

Go see Captain America this weekend! Support our Colin!

I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

(Sit down, stop jumping around, it's an awesome picture, I know. And the quality is amazing. It's not grainy or reddish... it's perfect.) (No, it's not.)

(And you can totally see the Captain America logo on the side of the glasses.) (No, you can't.)

Anyway, Captain America is pulling a strong 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now so GO SEE IT! IT'S FANTASTIC!

WAMMA was the organization that wanted to create an undisputed champ at every weight class, regardless of what promotion they fought in. Fedor Emelianenko held the WAMMA heavyweight title. In this picture from November 2009, Fabricio Werdum can be seen jokingly grabbing at Fedor's WAMMA belt, but WAMMA barely made a blip among most MMA fans.

What they did make was a pretty, pretty belt, and it can be yours for a starting bid at $1,595 plus shipping on eBay.

Nicki Minaj, Joe Jonas Take Us Backstage On Femme Fatale Tour

'Behind the scenes, there's a lot of security, lots of salad and lots of cranberries and almonds,' Minaj jokes to MTV News.

Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour is a glittering, over-the-top spectacle, complete with multiple costume changes, set changes, and a fleet of backup dancers and stage performers. Another major part of the tour is the other acts who are on the road with the star. MTV News caught up with tourmates Joe Jonas, Nicki Minaj and "Drop Dead Beautiful" rapper Sabi on their New Jersey tour stop, and they gave us an inside look at what it takes to get this show on the road.

"Behind the scenes, there's a lot of security, lots of salad and lots of cranberries and almonds, lots of dancers stretching," Spears' tourmate Minaj joked from her dressing room. "There's also a lady that comes every day and gives massages. She has like a massage chair and every time I go out there, she's giving some bloody bloke a massage," she teased in her signature British accent.

Brit's show isn't the only one that incorporates multimedia displays. Nicki's opening slot goes above and beyond thanks to video packages and costume changes. "Well, definitely I wanted my set to be more than an opening act 'cause, you know, I did that already," she said. "I always like to raise the bar for myself and that's what I did. I think it's important to give people what they paid for."

Sabi said that hours before the show happens, there's lots of hustle and bustle to make sure everyone is in the right state of mind. "It's crazy to see how wardrobe is rushed from one location to the next, or if there's something wrong with the shoes or there's extra shoes and dancers need massages and the catering's not here till 5 and we have to eat at 5 o'clock and everybody rushes to catering," she explained of all the hubbub."It's pretty fun and hectic back here, but it's dope."

During the show, Sabi hits the stage alongside Brit to perform their Femme Fatale track and she says that being up there in front of the sea of pop fans is "kind of hard to describe," adding that, "it's bananas. I get the biggest rush ... it's crazy.

"I've learned how she just delivers. There can be a bajillion things going on and she just delivers every time," Sabi said of Spears. "I'm learning the professionalism of it."

Jonas kicked off his time with Spears in his home state of New Jersey and said that he was stoked to be there. "[I'm] very excited right now. I can't wait," he said in his dressing room. "Getting up on the stage felt really comfortable, so I think it's gonna be really fun. Like everyone out there, I'm a fan of Britney, and it's New Jersey, so it couldn't be more perfect."

Nicki certainly has plenty of pop music crossover appeal and says that performing in front a pop crowd has worked well for her. "Honestly, it's been epic," she said. "They have an amazing spirit, a great vibe, and it's love every night, and I would not have traded this experience for anything else in the world."

Facepalms of the week: ?Mayhem? and Bellator prospect arrested

It's been a while since Cagewriter has awarded the facepalm of the week award, but it's time to give it out for two fighters who were arrested recently.

The first one goes to Jason "Mayhem" Miller, the fighter who also hosts "Bully Beatdown" and will be featured as a coach on the upcoming season of "The Ultimate Fighter." TMZ reports that he was arrested in North Carolina for false imprisonment and simple assault after he reportedly put his sister in a headlock and wouldn't let her leave a party.

The second, heartbreaking facepalm goes out to Rasul Mirzaev, a Russian fighter who was expected to make his American debut in Bellator this fall. He was reportedly arrested and charged in the death of a student in Moscow. Mirzaev allegedly was in a verbal altercation with the student and threw a single punch, which knocked the student out. He died four days later, and Mirzaev faces up to 15 years in jail.

In both cases, fighters used their physical skills outside of the cage against people who weren't equipped to defend themselves. A facepalm isn't strong enough to show disgust in these cases.

Beyonc頭 Best Thing I Never Had

Beyonce's 'Best Thing I Never Had' Video Premieres

Clip for 4 single features B in a gorgeous ornate wedding dress.

Anyone who's heard the two first singles off Beyoncé's new album, 4, knows they are about as different as night and day. The same can be said for the songs' music videos: Where "Run the World (Girls)" is fierce, upbeat and explosive, "Best Thing I Never Had" is also strong, but more subdued and slow.

The clip opens with Beyoncé in an elegant dressing room or boudoir. She is scantily, but very tastefully, clad in a fancy, lacy corset/lingerie combo, complete with garters. As she begins the song — co-written by Babyface and all about telling a former lover she was the best he'd ever have and that she no longer has any feelings for him — B plays to the camera, directing her words at the former lover via the camera's lens.

From there, she moves from playing with a tiara, a veil and lots of tulle on a bed to various stages of getting dressed. Between her half-dressed and fully dressed stages, there is a quick cut to old video footage of who viewers are to believe is a young Beyoncé and her former high school flame at their prom. B and her date are dancing, she is spun away briefly, and her date cozies up to another girl on the dance floor.

Now that we know what ended that romance, we follow a confident Beyoncé in her final preparations before she walks down the aisle on her wedding day. There are shots of Bey singing at sunset atop a grassy hill in a beautiful princess gown, followed by the walk down the aisle and the exchange of vows.

This is followed by one final shot of the former lover at the prom deep in thought, with what looks to be his prom king crown sitting askew on his head. Perhaps he is re-thinking his philandering ways?

The last few scenes of "Best Thing I Never Had" are full of more shots of Beyoncé's gorgeous dress, which will likely land on a few style blogs soon, given its embroidered and jeweled details, not to mention the silk bows and ruching on the sides. We see the newlyweds celebrating at a happy and well-attended reception: groom removing bride's garter with his teeth, dancing with their younger family members.

The final shot features Beyoncé looking into the camera, with a look of total satisfaction and happiness. She then walks off confidently, probably to re-join her wedding party and new husband, and then the screen fades to black.

Strikeforce on tap: Healy looks to ride hot streak

Back in 2001 at just 17 years old, Pat Healy jumped into MMA without much guidance and zero fear. He'd fight anyone, anywhere and at any time. The result is an odd looking 26-17 career record. But don't be fooled by the less than stellar numbers, Healy, now 28, is still an emerging prospect especially since he dropped from 170 to 155 pounds.

Healy gets to showcase his skills at the Strikeforce Challenger 18 card (Showtime 11 p.m. ET/PT) tonight in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort.

He's a massive lightweight who's given several Strikeforce opponents a rough go down at 155.

Lyle Beerbohm learned the lesson the hard way. Beerbohm, entered the Feb. 2011 match with an unbeaten mark, but was dominated and handed his first loss by Healy. Before that, Healy gave former Strikeforce lightweight champ Josh Thomson all he could handle.

Healy says records can be very misleading.

"He really had fought a lot of opponents and guys from his local area," Healy told the Las Vegas Sun. "He didn't get out and fight other guys. Records can be really misleading. I think it's the same case with mine."

Healy's losses include UFC veteran middleweights Denis Kang, Chris Leben and lower weight fighters Dave Strasser, Carlo Prater, Jay Hieron, Chris Wilson, Rory Markham, Jake Ellenberger, Chris Lytle, and Brad Blackburn (two times). He's also posted wins over Paul Daley, Carlos Condit, Dan Hardy, Tiki Ghosn, Brandon Melendez, Mike Guymon and Ryan Ford.

Healy is 6-2 at lightweight and points to his desire to train all over the country as a big reason. He started with Team Quest (Randy Couture, Matt Lindland and Chael Sonnen) in Oregon, but has since bounced around to Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and B.J. Penn's camp in Hawaii.

"A lot of guys are too worried that they might have to fight someone they train with in the future or that they'll know too much about them," Healy said. "I don't really worry about that. I think whenever you go somewhere with different guys, you learn a lot. That outweighs the negatives."

Tonight, he'll try to put together a rare two-fight win streak against Eric Wisely (18-5). Wisely is making his Strikeforce debut. He comes in riding a four-fight win streak with victories over Matt Veach and Hermes Franca.

Following UFC on Versus 5 Loss, Jason Reinhardt Released From UFC

Jason Reinhardt hoped to reinvigorate himself by dropping down to bantamweight for his last fight.

He may have done that, but his loss to Edwin Figueroa at UFC on Versus 5 10 days ago was enough for the promotion to hand him his walking papers. Sources close to Reinhardt told MMA Fighting on Tuesday that Reinhardt has been released by the UFC.

Reinhardt, who was the oldest active fighter in the UFC, was in his second stint with the promotion. All three of his career losses came in UFC fights.

Reinhardt (20-3, 0-3 UFC) first fought in the UFC at UFC 78 in November 2007. After starting his career 18-0 fighting mostly in his native Illinois, as well as Iowa and Indiana, Reinhardt was picked up by the UFC for a fight against Joe Lauzon. Lauzon submitted him just 1:14 into the first round.

After picking up two more wins on regional shows, Reinhardt again got the call from Zuffa, this time to fight Tiequan Zhang at WEC 51 in a lightweight fight on short notice. But he had to withdraw from the bout when he failed his eye exam.

Reinhardt got his shot at Zhang several months later at UFC 127 in February - with both he and Zhang dropping to featherweight for the fight. Zhang submitted him 48 seconds into the first round.

But despite another quick UFC loss, Reinhardt got another shot - and reportedly at the urging of matchmaker Joe Silva, dropped to bantamweight. Against Figueroa at UFC on Versus 5 earlier this month, Reinhardt heard the boo-birds when he circled around the outside of the cage for more than a minute without engaging, then taunted Figueroa to engage him and was seen telling him, "I can do this all night." Once Figueroa caught him, Reinhardt needed to be saved by the bell in the first round. And in the second round, Figueroa ended things quickly with a TKO.

In Reinhardt's three UFC fights, he competed in three weight classes for a total of just 7:52 in the Octagon. Reinhardt's fight against Figueroa was just the third time in his career he had seen the second round. Eighteen of his 20 wins have been first-round stoppages, and he has 16 career submission wins. But his success outside the UFC - as what critics have called a can crusher - didn't translate to success in the UFC.

Reinhardt recently began training in Las Vegas with Wanderlei Silva's Wand Fight Team, and he has said his plan is to move to Las Vegas permanently to continue training.

On his Facebook page, Reinhardt said he plans on getting back to the UFC: "I'm staying positive, recovering, and I will have my (butt) back in the gym ASAP," Reinhardt said. "I love the UFC and how they treated me ... All I have to do is win a couple fights in another organization and I will be back."
