Michael Douglas, who has had the fight of his life battling throat cancer, acknowledges he's got a new challenge on his hands: the long road to recovery.
The 66-year-old actor endured eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy and promises he's ready to fight the disease even more. "It's a long road back," Douglas told People.
But, Douglas has had the love and support of his friends and family during this difficult time. In fact, he spent his Thanksgiving holiday in Orlando, Fla., visiting Disney World and Universal Orlando with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their two children, Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7.
Douglas' rep told People the family is "very happy and thankful for the way things are going this Thanksgiving." An onlooker who spotted the Douglas clan at the park added that "Michael looked healthy and happy to be spending time with his family."
Zeta-Jones, 41, has been especially vocal about her husband's will to get better. The actress said that it's been difficult to watch her husband slowed down at times, but "if there's anything Michael has, it's strength."
As a source close to the couple also commented on their bond. "These things can either tear families apart or make them stronger," the source said. "This has definitely made them even stronger."
